Even one child can pack a housekeeping punch, even before they are ever brought into the house. Babies and kids come with so much stuff. You need things for sleeping, eating, changing, bathing, clothing, and let’s not forget, playing. All of these things can add up to a huge amount to organize. With parenthood being the busiest time of most people’s lives, it can be hard to keep up with the major things, much less all of those little things. However, it must be done. If you don’t spend some time getting it together, then it will only get worse and swallow you up. Use these tips for getting your child’s things in order and most importantly, keeping them that way!

1) All the organizational products in the world won’t keep you organized. Setting things up in a practical way should always be on your mind while you’re organizing. Here’s an example; Some people really enjoy having a changing station or changing table in the nursery. However, an overwhelming percentage of people who buy them, never use them. How could something that you’ll use several times a day that stores all of your related baby items never get used? Location, location, location! Most people do not have the nursery right off of their living room, where they’ll spend most of their time. So, they end up using a changing pad instead. The lesson here is that being expensive or seeming like a great idea means nothing if it’s not convenient to use.

2) Keeping the convenience factor in mind, figure out where you want to organize. Don’t make the mistake of creating plenty of space for toys all over the kids’ rooms if the kids’ toys are always all over the den. Your best bet for keeping a space organized is to provide easy access areas for toys to go. You’ll have much more success in getting help from your family if you place your buckets, bins, toy boxes and shelves very near where they will usually be playing with these things.

3) Do yourself a favor and make it easy for everyone in the house to help you. Even toddlers can put their own clothes away if you simply lay pajamas flat instead of folding, use children’s hangers instead of adult hangers, and have a separate bucket for socks and burp cloths. Lower your perspective and think about what would be easy on your child’s level. Infant hangers and <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Baby Hangers">baby hangers are much easier to handle, plus they don’t stretch and damage little clothes. Clothes that don’t wrinkle, don’t necessarily have to be folded or hung. Making daily tasks easier will make organization a lower maintenance job.

Do you have one who loves to keep everything clean and organized, or are you like most parents and you worry about whether or not your child will ever clean their room without being threatened? It can be a struggle because cleaning isn’t always seen as fun. It can take a lot of work on the parents’ part to get a child to realize the benefits of keeping their room clean. Use these tips to help your child not only like to clean, but to be able to keep it that way for longer periods of time.

1) First, you have to try to make it just a little more fun. This can be difficult if your child is used to throwing tantrums, fighting, screaming, or just flat out not doing it when you tell them to. However, there are ways to motivate kids to clean up after themselves without resorting to yelling or punishment. First, work on positively reinforcing the behaviors that you like. Don’t be afraid to offer rewards for good behavior and cooperation. However, there is a right and a wrong way to reward.

2) When rewarding or bribing your child to do what you want them to do, make sure that you make the prize something that they want. One child may be motivated by a new toy while another is motivated by a quarter. Choose something that is affordable, the goal is not to spoil the child. Don’t offer a grand reward that can be difficult to follow through with. Make sure that there is a reward that is not only motivating to your child, but present when you offer it. There’s nothing like a dangling carrot to get someone moving!

3) Don’t make the mistake of overwhelming your child. You might find out just how stubborn they can be if you tell them that you want a disaster of a room spotless in a certain amount of time. Give them small goals that can quickly and easily be accomplished. Have multiple rewards ready and help them if you can. Talk about things that they want to talk about while you clean so that they associate cleaning and organizing with positive attention and experiences.

4) Make it easy to stay organized. Use open containers and label them with what goes inside. Keep buckets with small pieces across the room from each other so that they are less likely to get intermingled. Let your child use <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Infant Hangers">infant hangers, children’s hangers, or baby hangers to hang their clothes. They are easier to handle, come in interesting colors and cartoon designs, and won’t damage small clothing.

Creating an inspirational bedroom that reflects the personality and style of your little girl can be rewarding in a number of ways. Helping her to establish good habits through proper organization that is easy to maintain, will further the benefits of having a cute girl’s room. It is fun to research and figure out which styles will fit your little girl’s decoration needs. Remember to keep organization in mind so that you can also teach your daughter to keep her room clean by herself.

When things are easily cleaned up and organized, girls are more likely to want to keep their rooms straight. When they are able to do this on their own, it can actually help to develop life-long cleaning habits and a higher self-esteem. When looking for themes and decorations, concentrate on what inspires her. Using things and colors that she loves in the process will make her happier and more proud of her new space.

1) Painting is an easy way to spruce up the room and make it special. Let her help you choose colors that reflect her personality. If you’re worried that she will pick something that you really don’t like, go to the store and pick up paint samples for her to choose from. With fewer options, she is less likely to get overwhelmed or choose something that you know she won’t be happy with in the long run. Paint the walls, trim, doors, ceiling, ceiling fan, and even furniture if you’d like. You can paint decorative trim accents in the corners, along the wall at chair-rail height, or along the ceiling.

2) Use her name as inspiration in your decorating. You may find templates for painting her name on the wall or removable appliqués that can simply stick on. You can decorate her bedroom door or closet door with personalized words, art, or decals. Making her room “hers” will help her to enjoy the room, respect the space, and be proud of what you’ve created together.

3) Keeping organization in mind is important so that she can easily keep her room neat and clean. Provide areas for her to display her favorite dolls, stuffed animals, collections and other things that she considers important. Small shelves are inexpensive, easy to hang, and can be painted to match the room. Shelves with pegs or a mirror with hooks will give her somewhere to hang things like a purse, backpack, robe, or jewelry. Cubby-style shelves with bins or baskets are very useful for organizing toys, doll clothes or collections of small things without making the room look cluttered.

4) Organizing the closet in a way that makes laundry easy to manage will help your little girl keep her room clean. You can buy decorative <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Children's Hangers">children’s hangers that match her room. Small hangers, like <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Infant Hangers">infant hangers and baby hangers are easy to handle, won’t stretch out her special outfits, and will help save space in the closet for other things. Getting the room easy to manage will ensure that your little girl will love her room and be proud of the fact that she can take care of it all by herself.

Does your kid’s room look like a toy store threw up in there? You’re not alone! Most parents feel like the number of toys in their child’s room is out of control. We can’t help it! We probably buy too much for them, then they get more as gifts, and eventually it gets out of control. With all of the developmental toys and popular must-haves, it can be hard to put limits on how many toys enter your home, because we want our kids to have learning opportunities as much as entertainment.

1) Designate an area for large items that take up a lot of space. Most kids have an enormous amount of stuffed animals, and they probably feel that each one is special and important. Designating a particular place for stuffed animals, balls, pillows, whatever your child has a lot of, can help the room stay cleaned up. You may need to label a large toy box, basket, or net for this one particular thing. Make it easy to toss stuffed animals in. You can make cleaning a snap if you allow you child to throw animals across the room into the net! Making it fun can determine whether your organization sticks or not.

2) Tiny items, like plastic building blocks, need somewhere special to go. Don’t you just hate finding that one in the dark by stepping on its pointy corners? Ouch! You can give your kid a bin, basket or bucket to keep these things in, but nothing says that they will stay put there. They usually end up scattered around the house, dumped out, and lost. If your kid really likes this particular toy, you may be better off providing them with an area to play with them in. A table designated specifically for building can be helpful. An attached container, shelf, bucket, or basket will help keep the pieces at least near the table. Try not to put any other toys in this area and they’re less likely to get all mixed up and lost.

3) If your child likes to collect little things, you’re in luck. It can seem like a lot, but at least it doesn’t take up a lot of space. You need to come up with a system for your child to display, or at least keep up with, all of their little treasures. Drawers with compartments, containers screwed to a board, miniature shelves, or baskets with compartments all make great places to store little collectibles.

4) Keeping the major things in order is key. Have a clear and easy system for your child to keep up with. A laundry basket in their closet gives them a clear place to put dirty clothes. Using <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Children's Hangers">children’s hangers, infant hangers, or <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Baby Hangers">baby hangers makes it easier for them to keep their own things in order. Reward them for their efforts and adjust your system as necessary.

Space for a new baby can be a big concern among new parents. Babies have the need for some things that can take up a lot of space. Bouncers, a changing area, clothing, a swing, a playpen, and a crib alone can take up a lot of room. If you don’t have a nursery to work with, then making room for all of the baby’s stuff can be a real challenge.

You don’t want to feel like there isn’t room for your new baby. You also don’t want each room of your home to be so packed that there is no room to move around. There are a few ways that you can make room for baby things. We’ve come up with a few clever ways to make room for your baby without giving up too much of the room that you have for yourself.

Many baby items come in smaller sizes that are meant for apartments or additions to the parent’s bedroom. Some things, like play pens and cribs, come in special smaller sizes for day cares. Shop around on day care supply sites to see if you can find a smaller crib than normal. You won’t need to use it for very long, so choosing one that takes up a small space is a great way to save space while the baby is little and needs so much extra stuff. Smaller items like these are also easier to store if you want to save them for another child.

Getting creative with storage is also a great way to make room. For instance, consider how much room a standard dresser takes up. Now, think about using the vertical space in the room instead of the floor space. A lingerie chest has smaller drawers that are perfect for all of those tiny baby items that you’ll need storage for anyway. You can even keep diapering supplies and medications in the drawers if you install baby proofing latches in them. Don’t forget to securely anchor furniture to studs in the walls for your baby’s safety.

You can make a little extra room in your closet for baby clothes by using cascading or specialty hangers for your clothing. Then, hang your baby’s clothes on <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Infant Hangers">infant hangers, baby hangers, and <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Children's Hangers">children’s hangers. These hangers don’t take up much space and they keep your baby’s clothes from becoming stretched out or damaged. You’ll love having everything where you can easily see and reach it without crowding your small home with more furniture.

Even toddlers can put their own clothes away if you simply lay pajamas flat instead of folding, use <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Children's Hangers">children’s hangers instead of adult hangers, and have a separate bucket for socks and burp cloths.

Keeping children’s or a baby’s closet neat and clean can seem like an impossible task. However, if you follow these simple steps and suggestions, you can keep it organized quite easily. Some key elements of an organized kid’s closet are having a place for everything, making it easy to keep up with, and involving the child in keeping it organized as soon as they are old enough to do so. Follow these steps and your kid’s closet will no longer be a worry for you.

1) Most parents are avoiding using dressers to hold a kid’s or a baby’s clothes because of the tipping hazard that they pose. Dressers are tempting for children to climb. There is a real danger of the dresser tipping and trapping, seriously injuring, or killing a child. Therefore, if you do use a dresser, it should be securely anchored to the studs in the wall. Banning dressers from your home is possible if you get your closets set up in a way that handles the clothing in an efficient and accessible manner.

2) First, make an assessment of what all you want to keep in the closet. Pull out things that are already there and separate everything into piles. Be specific; Separate socks from tights, dress clothes from casual, and shirts from onesies and bodysuits. The more you keep things separate, the easier it will be to organize and keep it that way.

3) Figure out how much space you will need for each thing. Baskets are popular with parents because they’re so easy for children to see what is inside. Not only are they helpful for you or your child to see what you need, but they are also really easy to put clean clothes away in. Children as young as six months old like to throw socks into the basket. Getting them to help as young as possible will help you to establish responsibilities with them from early on.

4) Choose baskets or containers with open tops so that they are very easy to access. You should be able to hold a laundry basket, reach in, and put all of the little things away with one hand. Throw in socks or place small stacks of onesies and pajamas into their respective containers. Make it as easy as possible to maintain the organization of the closet.

5) Hang small baby clothes on infant hangers or <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Baby Hangers">baby hangers. Regular hangers can stretch out the necks and shoulders of small baby clothes. You should use <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="Children's Hangers">children’s hangers for bigger kids for the same reason. Small, kid’s hangers are also easier for children to handle, so they are more likely to be able to help you hang their clothes from a young age.

I’m not only talking about protecting clothing or making space, but also about teaching responsibility and fostering childhood development. Child or infant hangers can be a motivational tool for teaching certain behaviors while helping to develop communication, cognitive, fine motor and gross motor skills.

The first benefit of an infant hanger is the size. It fits right through the neck of delicate baby clothing without stretching it out of shape. The sides are small enough not to stretch out the shoulders and pucker fabric when you want it to lay flat. More heirloom children’s clothes are ruined by hanging them on adult hangers than you may realize.

These are the more obvious reasons to choose infant hangers over adult hangers. But, there are other things that you have not considered. You can use small hangers to teach your child responsibility. They will be excited to use hangers that are made especially for them. You can even get beaded hangers, character hangers, or monogrammed wooden hangers to make them more special. Talk about how the hangers are made especially for them. Spend some quality time together doing laundry and learning how to hang clothing.

Using their fingers to manipulate clothes on to the hangers will help develop strength in the small muscles of their hands. This improves handwriting and a multitude of other fine motor skills. Kids’ slimline hangers can be purchased in a lot of different colors. They have matching clips and cascading hooks that will further the fine motor benefit and make the task more fun.

Place a small step ladder in the closet so that you child can climb up to hang each article of clothing. Only do this if your child is capable, of course, and help them balance if they need it. Climbing up and down for each article of clothing will teach your child how to balance in a variety of positions. Carrying the hanger with the clothing on it will encourage them to use the large muscles in their legs and torso, instead of steadying themselves with their hands as they climb. This activity helps to develop gross motor skills necessary for climbing, playing, dancing, running and swimming.

When your child hangs an article of clothing, make a big deal about how big and responsible the child is. Clap your hands, make dramatically happy expressions, congratulate them profusely and keep your eyes fixed on theirs. This will give your child a great sense of accomplishment. It builds self-esteem, encourages them to be responsible and to love making you happy. This teaching technique has a wide range of benefits that will make future tasks a snap.

Giving your child the attention and praise that they deserve sometimes needs to be worked into your day. Making laundry time a learning time by using <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="infant hangers">infant hangers is only one example of how you can teach your child to be a confident, happy adult.

Wooden baby hangers make a great baby shower gift. The quality and beauty that they add to a nursery make them an ideal choice for a unique and useful gift. Wooden baby hangers are something that an expectant mother may not think to buy for herself. She will think of you every time she hangs up little outfits.

Wooden infant hangers can make the presentation of a new outfit something really special. For instance, if you are passing down an heirloom Christening gown, wouldn’t it look especially nice on a special wood hanger? If the hanger is of a high quality, then it can become an heirloom, too. You can even have a name or design imprinted on the hanger for an extra special touch.

Infant hangers are especially gentle on delicate fabrics. They have smooth, curved shoulders to help avoid tears and snags. They prevent shoulder puckering that can ruin an important or heirloom outfit. The expectant mother you love will appreciate getting something so thoughtful and she will not have to endure the regret of damaging something that she treasures.

Wooden baby hangers are an elegant addition to any nursery. But, you can make them more fun by getting wood hangers with hearts, cartoon characters, unique colors and more. You can even get exciting beaded baby hangers.

Use your infant hangers to assemble a unique gift basket. Include necessities like lotion and bottles, stuffed animals, books and clothes. You can make a themed basket, like a bath time basket, by filling the container with towels, bath toys, soap and baby wash cloths.

Whether you decide to just give hangers or make a basket, you might want to add some variations. You can get combination baby hangers, designed to hold tops and bottoms that go together on one hanger. Or you might opt for a natural wood display hanger. This is like the combination hanger, but the pants portion hangs lower, so that it is easier to see that the top and bottom of the outfit are both there. This also helps to keep the closet from getting crammed and wrinkling clothes.

Another accessory to consider throwing in is a package of baby hanger size markers. These make wonderful gifts. New mothers will receive outfits and clothing of all different sizes. Size markers will help her organize the closet so that she can easily see what is sized for 3 months and what is a 2T or 3T.

Your hanger gift is sure to be a big hit at your next baby shower. Showing that you care about quality, style, usability and making a new mother’s life easier will make your gift memorable. Customizing or personalizing your <a href="http://www.onlykidshangers.com"title="wooden baby hangers">wooden baby hangers can make the memories last a lifetime.
